Automatic Transmission Maintenance

Check the vehicles service manual for the proper service schedule. Transmission fluid is critical on making your car or truck go.  Therefore, it is important to check the level or condition. When in doubt, bring your car truck in and have a automotive service professional check the level and condition. If your automatic transmission fluid is low, make sure you add the correct type. Not all Transmission fluid is the same. Check your car or truck manual as to the  type and the correct procedures on checking or adding of fluid.   As you change your motor oil filter as routine maintenance, it may also be necessary to change the transmission filter as routine maintenance.

Manual Transmission Maintenance
